Statement Regarding the Secondary Match Cancellation

EQUAL ESPORTS QUEENS

TL;DR

Match walkover decision

Ruling

To our teams and viewers,

Unfortunately, we had to cancel the secondary match on today’s EQUAL ESPORTS QUEENS mainstream broadcast.

The scheduled matchup between MISORA and Leisure Luna resulted in a default loss for MISORA. This decision was made after it became clear that two MISORA players had setup the incorrect version of the Riot Games tournament client.

For context, the Riot Games tournament client is available in three differently configured versions, designed to provide fallback options in the event of live patch issues. Despite being granted their full allotted technical time, the affected players were unable to resolve the issue and be match-ready within the required window.

Following a discussion with MISORA, the team has confirmed they will be fully prepared for the next match day and have expressed sincere regret that this situation occurred. While decisions outside of the server are never ideal, they are sometimes unavoidable in competitive operations.

We also received valuable feedback from MISORA, which we will work to implement. In particular, we will place additional focus on better preparing newer or less experienced players for all tournament-related scenarios moving forward.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
