Official ruling against 'Jixxen'

PROJECT V

TL;DR

Failure to honor roster commitment and consequent sanction

Ruling

We would like to address a recent matter relating to the PRO SERIES rosters and take this opportunity to clarify the relevant regulations for the community.

Rosters are locked before the start of each season. Each team is permitted:

one transfer during the group stage;

one additional transfer upon qualifying for the playoffs.

Teams may register with up to five starting players and two substitutes. These rules, together with the transfer allowances, are designed to provide sufficient flexibility to accommodate unforeseen circumstances. In exceptional cases, teams may be granted permission to replace a player without using a transfer.

Most recently, just before the launch of the Pro Series, Team Entropy added Jixxen to their roster. However, he decided to step down just a few hours later, saying that the role of sixth man did not suit him. While the desire to compete is understandable, players must also be held accountable for their decisions, or in this case, their indecision. This action has significantly impacted Entropy’s flexibility going forward, and under certain circumstances it could result in default losses if a complete line-up cannot be fielded.

Following a thorough review, PROJECT V has decided that Entropy will not be granted an additional transfer. Granting such an exception would create an unfair advantage by providing extra scouting opportunities or access to new players from other ecosystems, such as Challengers.

Consequently, Jixxen will be excluded from all PROJECT V tournaments for the duration of Pro Series Split 1. He will be eligible to compete again from 20 October 2025.

He has indicated that he is currently focusing on practice and scrimmages in order to secure a stable team environment for his development. This objective can be achieved without participating in our tournaments during the sanctioned period. While disciplinary measures may be a contentious issue, it is important to emphasise that this decision is guided by a responsibility to protect the integrity of the competitive ecosystem. Frequent or abrupt changes in player commitment can undermine team stability, and enforcing such standards ensures fairness and integrity for all participants.

We hope that everyone in our ecosystem views this as an act of support for our teams and players, rather than as a punishment for an individual player. We believe we have found a good solution that signals our commitment to professionalism, while also giving the player the chance to improve and take part in future relevant events.
